Tell us about your experience building a guitar with Prestige:
Although I picked the finish as my favorite feature I could easily have chosen many other features. The contoured body is comfortable to play, well balanced and not too heavy, the Lindy Fralin noiseless P90s sound wonderful. The abalone inlays and gold hardware look beautiful and the 5-piece satin finish neck is smooth and easy to play. It’s a truly world class, unique guitar.
Everything about this build was a good experience. I got to choose exactly the piece of wood I wanted for the top. Mike spent an hour on a call with me painstakingly working up a specification for every single minute detail. I got to visit the workshop to see my guitar being built and meet the team working on it (this is a real treat – the custom shop is fascinating). I was also kept informed of the progress on the build as it proceeded. The end result was everything I had hoped it would be.
I’ve had custom guitars built before, but my experience with Prestige was the best yet – they have a very personal approach which I really appreciated.

This guitar is as beautiful to look at as it is to play. It is a spectacular piece of craftsmanship, and also plays and sounds magnificently, as a result of the masterful combination of exquisite tone woods, flawless workmanship, and Seymour Duncan P90 pickups. While I own several special guitars, this is the one I leave in my living room on a stand, both so that it is always within reach when I want to play, and because it is a stunning piece of art that I enjoy having on display.

Tell us about your experience building a guitar with Prestige:
My experience building with Prestige and the team was seamless and communication was always easy, which helped a lot living on the other side of the planet. I got a personal tour of the custom shop factory and I got to see every detail of Prestige’s craft first hand. I was sold from the moment I saw that. Once my guitar arrived to me in New Zealand I was blown away by just how versatile it was to play. I love love love this thing, man I can’t get enough. Prestige sent me a replacement plastic input shroud after I had a mishap with it, free of charge. Their service is second to none and their commitment to their artistry is amazing. Couldn’t recommend more!
